Isabelita Mederos was born in Havanna, where she started studying violin with the ukranian pedagog Alla Taran. At the age of 15 she moved to Zürich a scholarship to study at the Musikhochschule Zürich. There she completed a Bachelor degree and Masters Diploma in Violin Pedagogy. She also gained a Masters in Elementary Music Education.
Since 2006 she has worked at Musikschule und Konservatorium Zürich as Violin teacher and Elemantary Music teacher. She also teaches chamber music for string Ensembles.

Jazz and classical cuban Music are also part of her musical Repertoire. As a freelance violinist she plays in a number of groups reflecting her wide interest in musical styles.
She visited London between 2009 and 2010 often to study with professor Detlef Hahn. She returned to London to train as a Colourstrings violin teacher with Geza Szilvay at CMS. She is delighted to teach at CMS where the Colourstrings philiosophy is so well cared for and appreciated.
