We are looking for a Colourstrings- trained cello teacher with excellent teaching, playing and communication skills, good organisational skills, enthusiasm for working with children and knowledge of Kodály solfa. This school is highly collaborative, and an ability to work well with colleagues is therefore essential.
We would be willing to nurture the right candiate by facilitating Colourstrings training.

Teaching Cello at CMS
Children at CMS will have had a minimum of 2 years musicianship/Colourstrings kindergarten training before starting an instrument. They then take a package which includes individual lesson, group lesson or orchestra, musicianship and choir.

Essential
  • Music teaching experience
  • Passion for music education
  • Colourstrings cello teacher training: at least phase 1 (we can facilitate this)
  • Willingness to commit to further training if necessary and/or when the opportunity arises
  • Good understanding of children
  • Knowledge of Kodály solfa and good musicianship skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Good working relationship with colleagues and a professional/pleasant manner of communicating with parents
